GOD IN THE WORKOUT

GOD IN THE WORK OUT

This is a response to a brother who had a question about inconsistency.

The key to overcoming inconsistency is to ask the Lord for perform a mental transplant. Inconsistency is a mindset that is espoused for one reason or the other. Laziness, too hard, too busy, in too much pain...etc. As long as we hold onto that spirit, we will continually make excuses and it will tear us down. We can have as many great reasons to transform that we want but if we don't have a stick to it attitude, we sabotage ourselves. Take your issue to the cross. Leave it there. Don't pick it up again. How? be R.A.D. Tell God about it. Speak to Him. Ask Him to:
1. R.EMOVE THE MINDSET OF INCONSISTENCY from you.
2. A.SK HIM TO REPLACE IT WITH TENACITY, and a
3. D.ESIRE TO REMAIN CONSISTENT.

When you are R.A.D. All things are possible, because you've taken the impossible and placed it in God's hands. This is no longer your chore. Once you WANT to be consistent, you will be CONSISTENT, because now that desire has been placed in you supernaturally.

You MUST also get very detailed in each step.
You must also claim a promise in each step. For instance if you know that your schedule does not permit for a consistent workout or finances don't permit for you to eat healthy all the time, then in your step 1, you will will say:
"God I ask you IN THE NAME OF JESUS to REMOVE THE SPIRIT OF INCONSISTENCY FROM ME. I ASK YOU TO REMOVE EVERY STRONGHOLD THAT WOULD DISTRACT ME FROM MY GOAL AND DETER ME FROM MY VISION. I CLAIM your PROMISE THAT I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME, SO I ASK YOU TO STRENGTHEN ME TO RE-PRIORITIZE MY SCHEDULE SO I CAN ACCOMMODATE THE HEALTHY LIFESTYLE YOU WANT ME TO HAVE. MAKE ME AN ACTIVE PARTICIPANT IN MY GOALS. HELP ME TO UNDERSTAND WHAT I MUST EAT AND NOT DROP IT OFF. I DENY SELF-EXALTATION an EMBRACE THIS WITH HUMILITY.”

Ask Christ to remove these strong holds, because that is exactly what they are.

Summer 2014 Progress Photos

So hello again world! I just wanted to keep you all posted as to my progress. It's been slow, but only because I haven't put that much effort in. I did lose 15 pounds, but gained some of it back. Funny thing is I can still fit most of my clothing. I suppose those dead-lifts and hiking have been paying off!
For the past six weeks or so, I have lost alot of time tending to the so called needs of others. I have been mostly eating out. However, I have been able to make healthy choices such as purchasing lots of water, and drinking it before meals. having a high plant-based diet and working out when time permits.

No matter how busy you are, you can eat healthy! My neck bone is a witness!

Stay inspired!

So ladies (and gents) remember that you are fine as a fresh perm on any day at any size, because you love yourself. Happiness is not found in a dress size. You have to love yourself to want a change....change your thought process first.

February Update

So far for 2014, I'm down 18 pounds! I credit this to a mostly alkaline diet and not obsessing over working out. Another game changer has been the increase in my water intake.
something that's a little annoying is the consensus that people come to when they meet you, not knowing you at all that "Oh she's a big girl. That's who she is"
Honestly, Big looks different on different people, and I have seen some really large people that are way heavier than I am , but I'm the one that gets looks. So I try to focus on being a testament and it's been working. One lady on my job said that it looks like I've lost some weight. She has also asked me what I eat etc. I kind of let it slip that I wanted to be a nurse before I became a teacher, so I really got into health by doing my own research. so sometimes people ask me what I eat and why I don't eat certain meats, and also to research the side effects of medications, and what to take to relieve their colds and sinuses.

Earlier this year, it transitioned from winter to Spring type weather. I broke out like the running man all over with eczema. I usually keep a small tube of steroidal based cream for emergencies like this, but I couldn't find it for the life of me, so I increased my juicing, and I saw the rash begin to heal the same day. The next morning, the old rash was almost completely flat, and by day 4 the new rashes were flattened out also. In addition, I was pretty full and didn't need to eat as much solid foods. I continued to lose weight.

I'm really excited about what this year will bring. I am taking it one day at a time. : - )

Dropping pounds

So I know I haven't really posted anything since the start of the new year, and maybe I should have. I have been super busy. I have an assignment that I am basically having writer's block on, so I decided to blog here to warm up the ol' brain cells.
Okay so since the new year I am down 9 pounds. That's stellar! That's essentially an average of a 2 pound weight loss per week...Not too shabby!
I will be kicking it up a few notches! The important thing to keep in mind is to WORK SMARTER NOT HARDER. Water is your best friend whether you are looking to build muscle or lose fat. STAY HYDRATED and best wishes!

See... this may not seem like such a big deal, but you didn't see me 9 pounds heavier. I'm proud to say I have no side muffin overhang here. I have been maintaining my muscle mass and using it to fuel my fat burning.
